Franklin Mackie

Mr. Mackie is licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia and the District of Columbia. In 2006, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree from The University of the South in Sewanee, TN, where he majored in Spanish. During his undergraduate career, he participated in an exchange program with the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
Before law school, Mr. Mackie spent a year working in Buenos Aires, Argentina as an English language specialist for an internet marketing company. Afterwards, he moved to Seoul, South Korea and worked as an English teacher for four years. While in Korea, he attended Sogang University’s Korean Language Education Center.


Mr. Mackie earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2014. At the University of Miami School of Law, he participated in two international exchange programs. In both of these programs, he was able to work on international legal projects with students from Vietnam/China, and Germany. In addition, he worked as an international business transactions intern for Mobile Financial Services, LLC and Bacardi USA. He also studied away at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 2013, and worked as a law clerk for Casellas, Alcover, & Burgos in San Juan.


After graduating law school, Mr. Mackie spent three years working for The Immigration Law Firm in North Miami.  As an associate attorney, he managed business and employment petitions involving different visa categories. He also advised clients on compliance matters with regards to investment opportunities and employment offers.


Mr. Mackie is fluent in English and Spanish, and conversant in Korean.
