Form I-944 has been suspended.
As of March 9, 2021, petitioners are not required to provide the information required exclusively by the Public Charge Final Rule. This means that AOS applicants no longer need to provide Form I-944, Declaration of Self-Sufficiency, or any evidence or documentation required on that form with Form I-485.
If an applicant or petitioner has already provided this information and the USCIS reviews the request or petition after March 9, 2021, the USCIS will not consider any information provided that relates solely
to the Public Charge Final Rule, including, for example, information provided on Form I-944.
If you received a Request for Evidence (RFE) or Notification of Intent to Deny (NOID) requesting information that is exclusively required by the Public Charge Final Rule, you will no longer need to provide the information required exclusively by the Public Charge Final Rule.
Other questions asked in RFE or NOID continue to require an answer.
